The Illinois Humane Euthanasia in Animal Shelters Act requires that Certified Euthanasia Technicians complete a euthanasia course prior to renewal in April of even-numbered years.

This course offers a review of the euthanasia process, the appropriate drugs for euthanasia and sedation, updates on legal requirements, and addressing compassion fatigue.   

Completion of this workshop will meet the required course work in Illinois for Certified Euthanasia Technicians.  Students who successfully complete the training will receive a certificate of completion.
